The Kenya Diaspora Advisory Council of Texas was founded in the year 2012.
Since launch, the KDAC Texas team has worked tirelessly to promote our mission (to Unite, Uplift, and Empower Kenyans in Texas). We are fortunate to have volunteers and from all walks of life who bring their unique expertise and resources into everything we do. This is what enables us to achieve our goals year after year.
While there is always more that can be done, there is no doubt that we are making a significant impact in the community. We don’t measure our success through just facts and figures, but through happy faces and heartwarming feedback. See how you can become part of the difference.

Monicah Kariuki
Chairperson
Monicah, a resident of Texas for over a decade, is actively involved in various Kenyan community events and organizations. Motivated by her childhood experiences in Kenya, she is dedicated to educating and empowering the less fortunate. Monicah aims to unite Kenyans in the diaspora by fostering cultural, social, and political awareness.
Monicah is a Nurse who believes in the wellness of the whole person.
Wytze Oduor
Vice Chairperson
"Always Serve A Purpose" has been his mantra since he can remember. Wytze has always had a love for embracing and appreciating Kenyans' shared identity in the diaspora.
Wytze is an Operations Manager at Topgolf and Callaway Brands whose goal is to bring the community together and provide the support it needs.
Peter Awori
Secretary
Peter is a passionate individual who understands the value of effective leadership. His goal for KDAC and the Kenyan community is to help steer their growth to become a strong, united, and highly recognized body.
Peter is a Computer Engineer and Cybersecurity professional who strives to protect digital assets.
Catherine Biwott
Treasurer
Catherine is grateful for the opportunity to serve the Kenyan community and to be a part of KDAC Texas - that is dedicated to making a difference.
With over 15 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Catheine is a seasoned professional dedicated to safeguarding information systems and networks.
George Mokuasi
Board Member
George is a happy family man, Enterprenuer, Logistics Specialist, and community leader who loves sports - particularly Kenyan rugby.
Chris Nzavi
Board Member
Chris is a family man. He is a member of the Kenyan community and is geared to promoting Mental Health, Finance and Banking, Science, Art, and Sports.
Chris is a professional Marketer, Sound Engineer, Graphics Designer, and Data Analyst.
Robert Ndumia
Board Member
Robert is a Texas resident who loves to serve and promote the Kenyan community's social and economic enhancement forums.
Sharon Adundo
Board Member
Sharon is a Texas resident who loves volunteering in charities within the community and providing financial empowerment tips.
She believes that no money is too little to manage in this life and we can all support each other.
Sharon is an Author, Entrepreneur, Financial Educator/Coach and Certified Notary Public, and has over 15 years in transportation business.
